A family child care network is a group of providers that come together to enhance support for home-based child care, including quality programming, access to services for children and families, and building financial sustainability. The home provider attends monthly meetings to network with others and gain knowledge through professional development and resources.
MiSide EarlyYears serves as a hub in the Metro Detroit area servicing Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
Who can be a network member?
Each network consists of up to 25 home based child care sites.
- Licensed Child Care Home Providers (Family or Group Homes)
- Licensed Exempt Providers
- Intended to become licensed or intend to stay Licensed Exempt Providers
- Family, Friend, and Neighbor Care Providers
- Who are working on completing the steps of the licensing process
- Other (approved by ECIC)
