Marathon Golf Outing Raises $155K to Support Our Programs
The 9th annual Marathon charitable golf outing, called the Motor City Classic, was a great success. The outing benefited Southwest Solutions and raised more than $155,000 to support our programs that help families and individuals in southwest Detroit better their lives.
The event took place on Friday, September 10 at the Chandler Park Golf Course in Detroit. About 300 people participated, including 65 golf teams (foursomes) of Marathon business partners, volunteers from Marathon and Southwest Solutions, and vendors providing food and drink.
At the lunch gathering, Marathon General Manager Dave Leaver presented a ceremonial check to Southwest Solutions’ President and CEO Sean de Four, and both spoke about the excellent planning and teamwork that led to the successful outing which exceeded its fundraising goals.
