Skill Trades through Earn + Learn New Classes Start March 6th!
There are a lot of construction jobs in Detroit, and not enough city residents to fill them.
Our free Earn + Learn program is part of the Detroit at Work job training pipeline to help Detroiters attain good-paying careers in the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) or Electrical Wiring Skilled Trades.
The next skilled-trades Earn + Learn class will begin on March 6th, 2023.
We encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity! It’s open to residents of Detroit who are over 18 years old.
The 13-week training program will combine instruction and hands-on training, which will be at the Detroit Training Institute of Technology. Classes will meet Monday through Friday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
By completing the program, you will earn certifications in either Electrical or HVAC, as well as certifications in Universal 608, Ward Flex, and Work Keys. You will also receive a stipend and job placement services.
