At MiSide, we believe every Michigander deserves access to the best resources their state has to offer. We're here to ensure children, individuals, families, and communities have access to great healthcare, quality education, a comfortable home, and the financial support they need to build the life they desire. MiHousing provides a broad range of services and housing assistance for families, veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. We believe that everyone has the right to safe, dignified, and affordable housing.

MiEarlyYears offers a wide range of services to support families with young children from pregnancy through age five. These services include prevention, education, early intervention, and treatment to help you and your child thrive.

MiWealth provides opportunities for individuals and families to achieve greater economic success through homeownership, financial literacy, workforce development, and adult literacy services.

Santa Day 2024: Spreading Holiday Cheer and Magic for All

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, MiSide partnered with YouthUnited, DWIHN, Family Alliance for Change, Black Family Development, Inc., and the City of Detroit to host the annual Santa Day, a festive celebration offering families a free, fun-filled afternoon with carnival games, crafts, a warm meal, and moments with Santa. Thanks to generous donors, every family left with gifts, spreading holiday cheer without the stress of cost.

After a wrongful arrest and months of hardship, Caevion found hope through YouthBuild and the support of his teacher, Ms. Yaneth, who helped him secure shelter. Despite hunger and challenges, he remains dedicated to transforming his life. This holiday season, you can provide nourishment and hope to neighbors like Caevion who need your generous support.

A Home For a Hero

Marcus, a Vietnam veteran, spent six years living on the streets in makeshift shelters, struggling with alcoholism and a lack of family support. After meeting with the VA, he found a home at Piquette Square and was asked a life-changing question: "Are you willing to quit?" With determination, Marcus embraced sobriety, attending meetings and building a supportive community. Now 14 years sober, he credits MiSide and the support of donors for helping him rebuild his life. Today, Marcus spreads hope by mentoring new tenants and keeping his door open to help others. Your support made Marcus’s transformation possible.
