Santa Day 2024: Spreading Holiday Cheer and Magic for All

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, MiSide came together with YouthUnited, Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network, Family Alliance for Change, Black Family Development, Inc., and the City of Detroit, to host our annual Santa Day!

The day was filled with holiday spirit as families enjoyed a warm meal, carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, cookie decorating, crafts, writing letters to Santa, and even meeting the big man himself!

It was such an incredible sight to see all of the children telling Santa what they are wishing for this Christmas. Everyone, young and old, was able to get a moment with Saint Nick and tell him all about their wish list and even get a picture to capture the memory.

The building was bursting with Christmas cheer as kids enjoyed carnival games, and even some friendly competition with our first Freeze Dance game!

The game room was filled with family gifts for everyone! Thanks to some incredibly generous donors, no family who attended Santa Day will have to go without presents under their tree.

Santa Day is an amazing opportunity every year for families to come enjoy the magic of the holidays without the pressure of a price tag.

We all know how stressful the holidays can be, so it is so important to us to lift that burden, even if it is just for an afternoon. It was such a fun day and we cannot wait to do it again next year!
