Celebration of Impact Gala 2024
Friday night, the MiSide Celebration of Impact Gala was a resounding success,with an impressive turnout of over 365 supporters gathered at the Henry Ford Museum. The event raised more than $600,000, which will directly benefit families in Detroit through MiSide’s core pillars: MiHealth, MiEarlyYears, MiWealth, and MiHousing.
Throughout the evening, attendees were moved by the powerful personal stories shared by individuals whose lives have been transformed by MiSide’s programs. Juanita shared how MiHousing helped her rebuild her life, while Alicia’s testimony about her journey to sobriety through MiHealth struck a chord with many. Chaevion expressed his gratitude for the life-changing goals he’s set with the support of his new family at MiWealth, and young Emmett’s story highlighted the milestones he has achieved thanks to Ms. Beth and the MiEarlyYears program.
The night also honored JoAnn Chavez and Osvaldo Rivera, who were presented with the prestigious Clement Kern Award for Social Impact in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the community.
